The Motor City Kitchen, located inside the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Detroit Downtown - Fort Shelby, is seeking a Breakfast/Lunch Server to join our team!

With seating for 84 guests, Motor City Kitchen is a welcoming space for both hotel guests and locals alike. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your hospitality skills, deliver exceptional service, and be part of a team dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences.

Start Time: Varies between 6: 00 AM - 9: 00 AM based on business needs

End Time: No later than 3: 00 PM

Pay Rate: $13/hour plus the opportunity to earn tips!

What will I be doing?

As a Food Server, you would be responsible for serving food and/or beverages to guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and specials
• Take guest food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system
• Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations
• Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times
• Cross Train for banquets as needed

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 2+ years of professional restaurant serving experience
• Full availability between 6: 00 AM - 3: 00 PM (weekends required)
• Must meet minimum age requirement to serve alcohol
• Ability to stand, lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs (ADA requirement)
• Prior knowledge/experience with POS systems preferred
