Flex-N-Gate is hiring a Paint Laboratory Technician in Ionia, MI. This is a full-time position, and paying $60,000.00–$75,000.00/year.

Summary

The Automation Technician’s role is to support and initiate automation programs throughout the facility by implementing and maintaining automation projects and equipment.

Job Duties

  • Program and maintain robots and automated equipment to comply with customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all automated equipment to maintain productivity on a day-to-day basis (Controls, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Transfers).
  • Assist in engineering quality, productivity, and reliability (Continuous Improvement, Tracking cycle time).
  • Maintain and monitor proper safe operations of all equipment.
  • Maintain safe working habits.
  • Maintain all equipment through preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Reporting day-to-day activities to supervisors.
  • Updating all related documents.
  • Ensure good housekeeping is kept up on the shop floor.
  • EOA / Machine start-up.
  • EOA7 / build.
  • Back-up programs (Robot, PLC).
  • Bowl feeder integration.
  • The incumbent is responsible for the awareness, understanding, specific responsibilities and management of the Environmental Management System (EMS) as stated in EMS policy CEVPL.00005.

Requirements

  • University Degree/College Diploma in a related field (Electromechanical Engineering Technician, Electronics/Electrician Technician, or Technology Diploma) 2 year program

Minimum 1 year ABB/NACHI/FANUC Robot programming experience.Good communication (Read and comprehend instructions).Organizational and dexterity skills.Attention to detail.Knowledge of components and materials used in the production process
