Scope of the Position
The Ecoat Technician will Assists supervisor with the day-to-day operations of the E-Coat Department to ensure customer requirements are met, while also ensuring procedures are followed to provide a safe and efficient working environment. Ecoat Tech will also be responsible for the maintaining the performance and integrity of the paint line process. This is a 2nd Shift 1pm-9: 30pm Full Time position. Start pay is $24.50/hr. and will be reporting to the Ecoat Operations Manager
Responsibilities
- Daily tank maintenance and testing. Fix spray nozzles and plumbing. Drain and Clean tanks. Measure and adjust tank chemistry. Record data.
- The Ecoat Technician position is responsible for the maintaining the performance and integrity of the paint line process.
- Each stage of the process has specific chemical requirements that must be controlled.
- The equipment needs to be monitored for process parameters including temperature, pressure, flow, etc.
- The Ecoat Technician should be able to learn and conduct chemical titrations to test the chemical baths and add chemicals when and where required on a daily basis.
- Sock and plate filters need to be removed and replaced or cleaned on a daily basis.
- Capable or managing tank pump outs and cleanings during production downtime events.
- Be able to identify when pumps, plumbing, and tank levels are not functioning properly.
- Help troubleshoot and root cause quality defects on parts.
- Assist in spare parts and chemical inventory management.
- Drive a Hilo and empty sledge hopper and replace chemical totes
Qualifications
- 2 year associate degree or training equivalent in a related field and 2 years experience in an industrial environment
- Experience in an industrial setting working with fluids, cleaning tanks, and plumbing.
- An aptitude for measuring and collecting data and using a computer.
- Experience with Maintenance and trouble shooting skills Maintenance/contractor experience working with plumbing and electrical
Working Conditions
- Physical ability to lift minimum of 25
- willing to work in confined space
- Overtime as required.
- Must be willing to work various shifts
- Must be able to work unsupervised
- Ability to work inside and outside, in cold and hot environments Experience with handling industrial chemicals, waste products, and industrial cleaning
