POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for assisting the Maintenance Department with repairs/installations/troubleshooting etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Occasionally performs general carpentry
• Paints as required uses rollers, brushes, extension poles, or spray guns as needed
• Performs inspections of equipment and the building
• Required to assist with installation projects (cabinet installation, appliance installation, moving of furniture)
• Completes basic maintenance paperwork and assists with PM’s
• Tracks and records parts or tools that may need to be purchased
• Uses power tools to complete repairs
• Completes inspections of overhead cranes, hi-lo’s etc. as required.
• Completes inspections of equipment for any obvious defects.
• Performs general housekeeping duties as required in work areas.
• Has the responsibility to aid in the provision of a safe and clean work environment. This will be accomplished by participating in the safety process. Examples of participation would include, but not limited to conducting internal safety audits, investigation of accidents and communication of safety related information.
• Responsible for maintaining ISO/TS16949: 2002 compliance within the manufacturing discipline.
• Responsible for maintaining ISO14001: 2004 compliance with the manufacturing discipline.
• Responsible for maintaining OSHA compliance

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspond.
• Ability to understand and follow all quality alerts.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Hilo/Crane/Aerial Lift certification. (Can be obtained during employ.)
• Lockout/Tagout certification. (Can be obtained during employ.)

• May require lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching and twisting.
• The employee will be required to work at heights
• The employee may be required to use a respirator while grinding/sanding/using chemicals
• The employee must regularly stand, and to push a tool cart through the plant
• The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk or hear.
• The employee will be required to reach and lift overhead and below the waist. Duties require full range of motion.
• The employee will experience changes in temperature and humidity levels.
