Who Are We and What We Do?The Detroit Area Agency on Aging (DAAA) Region 1-A is a private, non-profit organization responsible for planning, coordinating, developing, and funding services for older adults in the cities of Detroit, the five Grosse Pointes, Hamtramck, Harper Woods, and Highland Park. Were seeking a talented and motivated Human Resources Coordinator to join our innovative team. Under the general supervision of the Director, the DAAA Human Resources Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support to the DAAA Human Resources Department. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth functioning of HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HRIS management. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This role requires a high level of commitment, adaptability, and accountability. Onboarding and Offboarding: Prepare new hire paperwork, conduct orientation sessions, and manage the offboarding process fordepartingemployees. HRIS Management: Maintain and update employee records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality. Employee Relations: Provide assistancewith employee inquiries, support HR initiatives, and help inmaintaininga positive work environment. Administrative Tasks: Manage HR filing systems, process HR-related invoices, andassistwith special HR projects as needed. Initiate and manage projects focused on enhancing HR operational efficiency, withan initialemphasis on streamlining the new hire onboarding process. This involves mapping current workflows, gathering stakeholder feedback, researching best practices, and implementing improvements to reduce administrative burden and improve the new hire experience.
