Job Description
CSI Support & Development Services is hiring a Construction Manager in Warren, MI. This is a full-time position.
The Construction Manager serves as the owners representative, overseeing all aspects of multifamily renovation and construction projectsfrom scope development and budgeting to project close-out. Working closely with the Director of Construction, you will lead collaborations among architects, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Essential Functions Establish project scopes of work and preliminary budgets based on inspections, reports, and building needs.Manage architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors through design, bidding, construction, and close-out.Identify potential construction risks early and recommend practical, cost-effective solutionsMake final decisions on RFIs and Project issues with the design and construction team.Facilitate Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders.Review drawings, scopes, submittals, schedule, and change orders for accuracy, compliance, and value.Monitor construction progress through site visits, consultant inspections, punch walks, and quality control inspections.Review and approve monthly contractor draws and project documentation.Manage the construction contingency. Ensure compliance with HUD, state, accessibility, safety, and environmental requirements.Provide regular project updates to the Director of Construction. Supervisory Responsibilities The Construction Manager has no direct supervisory responsibility for CSI staff but is responsible for overseeing and coordinating external project professionals, including architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors, throughout all phases of construction projects, from design and bidding through construction and project close-out.
