Description:
Position Summary:
The Plant Controller is responsible for adhering to the Company's Accounting Policies and Procedures by establishing a strong Internal Control environment in the facility. This position has complete responsibility for P& L and Balance Sheet creation and integrity, to include all necessary analysis of the results. They will operate as a business partner for the Plant Manager by identifying financial and operational risks and opportunities in advance and communicate them accordingly.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Responsible for adherence to the Company's Accounting Policies and Procedures. Establishes a strong Internal Control environment in the Plant.
• Complete responsibility for P& L and Balance Sheet creation and integrity.
• Operate as the business partner of the Plant Manager.
• Serve as a consultant and advisor on all financial matters in the plant.
• Identify Financial / Operational risks and opportunities and communicate them to management.
• May be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description.
Education and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Five years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Possess the necessary managerial skills to plan, organize, lead and control the Accounting functions.
• Must be able to analyze financial statements and manufacturing variances.
• Must know manufacturing processes, BOM's & routings, labor reporting, standard costing and overhead allocations.
• Must be familiar with budgeting / forecasting processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization.
• Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary.
• Strong leader with a positive can-do attitude and flexibility.
Work Environment/Work Conditions:
• Professional Office Environment.
• Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when required.
