Description:

Precinct Coordinator

Starting Hourly Rate: $24.00

Provide temporary/seasonal support for elections. The position will be responsible for cleaning supply carts, voting booths, supply boxes, maintaining, testing and preparing all election related equipment for use in city, state and federal elections.
Loading supply carts (booths, signs, tables and voting machines), placing and securing ballots in black bins, replenishing supply boxes and other election supplies in preparation of each election.

Will be responsible for the preparation of individual polling locations within the City of Ann Arbor, election day work includes the preparation and set-up of individual polling locations, delivering supplies as needed and troubleshooting equipment problems to
individual polling locations. Post-election work includes break down of polling locations and check-in of equipment
at the City's election storage facility and cleaning and repacking for storage.

Work independently with minimal supervision, follow detailed instruction with accuracy. Troubleshoot mechanical problems; work long hours, including election days, from early morning to late evenings.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Valid Michigan Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Poll worker or other election field training/experience
  • Knowledge of Michigan optical scan voting equipment
  • Election administration
