Role SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Site Manager to lead on-site execution of LV/MV power distribution projects end-to-end-from mobilization and construction through testing, commissioning, and handover. The ideal candidate is an Electrical Engineer with 15+ years of site leadership experience, known for strong interpersonal skills, structured team management, practical scheduling and task delegation, and a customer-first mindset. Exposure to electrical panels (LV/MV switchgear, PCC/MCC), protection & control philosophy, and testing/commissioning methods is highly desirable.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Site Leadership
- Own full site execution scope: planning, mobilization, construction, QA/QC, HSE, testing, commissioning, documentation, and handover.
- Build and manage the site organization (engineers, supervisors, technicians, subcontractors), including clear role definitions, daily/weekly work plans, and delegation.
- Lead daily toolbox talks, weekly progress reviews, and interface meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
Planning, Scheduling & Progress Control
- Develop and maintain site-level schedules (MS Project/Primavera) aligned to the master project plan, including look-ahead plans, resource loading, and critical path tracking.
- Create work packages, assign tasks, and monitor productivity, ensuring milestone adherence and recovery plans where needed.
- Drive progress measurement, DPRs, dashboards, and S-curve/earned value insights for proactive decision-making.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for the client and consultant, ensuring transparent communication, issue resolution, and change control.
- Manage site variation requests, technical queries (TQs), and claims in alignment with contract and commercial teams.
- Maintain strong customer relationships, conducting regular progress reviews and ensuring a positive handover experience.
Technical Execution (LV/MV)
- Oversee installation of MV/LV switchgear, PCC/MCC, distribution boards, bus ducts, transformers, UPS, battery banks, earthing, cabling/ terminations, and auxiliaries per drawings and method statements.
- Ensure correctness of SLDs, GA/section/elevation drawings, interlocking & control logic, protection settings, and control philosophy across systems.
- Plan and supervise FAT/SAT, pre-commissioning, and commissioning (e.g., IR & PI tests, contact resistance, primary/secondary injection, relay testing, VT/CT polarity, functional & interlock checks, breaker timing, SCADA/PLC interface checks).
- Coordinate with OEMs for scheme validation, relay coordination reports, and as-built documentation.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce HSE standards: PTW, LOTO, hot work, confined space, lifting plans, and electrical safety procedures.
- Implement QA/QC plans, ITPs, inspection requests (IRs), and material inspection/test certificates.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes/standards (e.g., IS/IEC, local electrical rules) and client specifications.
Commercial, Materials & Vendor Management
- Align site execution with BOQs, budgets, and cash flow targets, support billing and measurement book accuracy.
- Manage material planning, inspections, storage, and traceability; track long-lead items and vendor deliverables.
- Govern subcontractor performance, productivity, and claims; negotiate and resolve conflicts fairly and firmly.
Documentation & Handover
- Maintain site logs, test records, redlines and as-built drawings, O& M manuals, and training materials.
- Lead punch list closure, performance demonstrations, and final handover with client acceptance.
Required Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's is a plus).
- 15+ years of site execution experience in LV/MV power distribution projects (industrial, data centers, utilities, infrastructure, commercial campuses, or similar).
- Demonstrated success managing multi-disciplinary site teams and multiple subcontractors on schedule-critical projects.
- Hands-on familiarity with electrical panels/switchgear, protection & control philosophy, and testing/commissioning procedures.
- Strong command of project scheduling tools (MS Project/Primavera) and site reporting practices.

- Experience with SCADA/PLC integration, networking basics, and interface testing.
- Knowledge of earthing & lightning protection, busbar sizing, cable selection/derating, and thermal management.
- Familiarity with contract administration, change orders, and claim substantiation.
KPIs / Success Measures- Schedule adherence (milestone achievement, critical path control).
- Zero-harm HSE performance and audit scores.
- First-time-right quality (NCR rate).
- Billing accuracy, variation capture, and cash flow targets.
- Punch list closure cycle time and customer satisfaction scores.
