Schneider Electric is hiring a Senior Product Applications Engineer II in Pune, MH. This is a full-time position.
Schneider Electric is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Product Application Expert - Electrical Distribution Network (EDN) to drive the adoption and growth of our Electrical Distribution, Digital Power, and Energy Management solutions. This role serves as a key technical ambassador, bridging customer needs with Schneider Electric's innovative products, digital platforms, and connected solutions.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in power distribution systems with customer-facing consulting, application engineering, and business development capabilities. Roles & Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Solution Consulting
- Act as the regional technical expert and technology ambassador for Schneider Electric's Electrical Distribution and Digital Power portfolio.
- Understand customer requirements, technical specifications, and operational challenges to recommend optimal solutions.
- Provide pre-sales technical support, application engineering, and solution positioning for products and systems.
- Support customers, consultants, panel builders, OEMs, contractors, and end users throughout the solution selection process.
- Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and value-based discussions on Schneider Electric's offerings.
- Promote and drive adoption of digital technologies, connected products, software platforms, and energy management solutions.
- Position Schneider Electric's digital ecosystem to improve customer operational efficiency, reliability, sustainability, and energy performance.
- Support deployment and customer conversion through digital tools and applications.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities, influence specifications, and accelerate project wins.
- Drive market penetration and profitable growth of Electrical Distribution offers within the assigned region.
- Support strategic account development and customer engagement initiatives.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive developments to strengthen business positioning.
- Plan and execute technical seminars, customer events, workshops, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Build strong relationships with consultants, contractors, OEMs, panel builders, and end customers.
- Influence internal and external stakeholders by promoting technological advancements and industry best practices.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Offer Management, and Services to deliver business outcomes.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of Electrical Power Distribution Networks (MV & LV), system architecture, and design principles.
- Knowledge of connected products, digital electrical systems, and energy management platforms.
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Medium Voltage & Low Voltage Distribution Systems
- Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCB)
- Air Circuit Breakers (ACB)
- Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB)
- Switching & Control Products
- Transfer Switches
- Fuse Distribution Systems
- Energy Meters
- Power Factor Correction (PFC) Solutions
- Active Harmonic Filters (AHF)
- LV Switchboards and Panel Applications
- Digital Power Monitoring and Energy Management Solutions
- Understanding of applicable electrical standards and industry regulations.
- Exposure to industrial automation, process automation, or integrated power and automation solutions is desirable.
- Understanding of key customer segments including:
- Panel Builders
- OEMs
- Electrical Contractors
- Consultants
- End Users
- Ability to identify customer pain points and align technical solutions with business value.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to support business growth and profitability objectives.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline (B.E./B.Tech).
- 8+ years of experience in:
- Electrical Power Distribution Systems
- Application Engineering
- Technical Sales Support
- Power Management Solutions
- Energy Management or Digital Power Solutions
