Role OverviewLauritz Knudsen is seeking a visionary technology leader to spearhead our Digital Solutions and Cybersecurity strategy. This role demands a dynamic professional with deep expertise in software development, collaborating with external contractors ecosystems and full lifecycle leadership-from ideation to high-quality delivery. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in developing end-to-end software solutions for industrial products, preferably within cement, energy distribution, metering, automotive, or water sectors. This is a strategic and execution-focused role aimed at delivering innovative, secure, and scalable digital platforms.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Technology Leadership- Lead the development and integration of cloud-native and web-based technologies.
- Drive innovation in application development and analytics for industrial solutions.
- Ensure compliance with power regulations and industry guidelines.
- Oversee integration of communication stacks and protocols.
Digital Solutions & Quality Assurance- Architect and deliver high-quality, scalable digital products.
- Manage and mentor a team of 30-40 engineers and developers.
- Implement robust quality assurance and performance standards across the Software Development Lifecycle.
Technology Stack & Platforms- Provide technical leadership and coaching across diverse technologies:
- Languages & Frameworks: C++, Qt, PyQt, #.NET, React JS, React Native, Flutter, Node JS
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MSSQL
- Cloud & Platforms: Microsoft Azure, SmartComm Suite (Design, Build, Operate, Commission, PMS, Solar, CMS, QSR, Predict, EnConnect, IMS)
- Tools: Jira, Confluence, Figma, GitHub (Copilot, Actions), BlackDuck, Coverity, Visual Studio, Draw.io
Protocols & Standards- Implement and integrate industrial communication protocols:
- IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101/103/104
- DLMS/COSEM, Modbus RTU/ASCII/TCP
- DNP3.0, OPC-UA/DA
- Siemens SIMATIC S7, SNMP, MQTT
Cybersecurity & Product Security- Define and enforce cybersecurity frameworks across all digital products.
- Ensure alignment with global security standards and regulatory compliance.
Agile & DevOps Practices- Champion Agile methodologies and DevOps culture.
- Drive continuous integration, automated testing, and rapid deployment.
Leadership & CollaborationTeam Building & Mentorship- Build and lead high-performing engineering and developers.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement- Collaborate with internal teams, customers, partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Represent the technology function in strategic forums.
Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Digital Technologies, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science.
- 15+ years of experience in technology leadership, with proven track record in end-to-end product development and protocol implementation.
- Hands-on experience in sectors such as water, cement, energy distribution, metering infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, firmware, and hardware-software integration.
- Demonstrated ability to deploy secure, scalable software solutions.
