Job Description

Schneider Electric is hiring a DGM - BD in Mumbai, MH. This is a full-time position.

Schneider Electric is seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Business Development Manager - Electrical Distribution & Digital Power to drive growth of our Electrical Distribution Network (EDN), Digital Power, and Energy Management business across the assigned region.

The role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, building strategic customer relationships, influencing specifications, and expanding Schneider Electric's market share across key segments including Data Centers, Commercial Buildings, Industry, OEMs, Panel Builders, Consultants, and Contractors. The ideal candidate will combine strong business acumen with a solid understanding of electrical distribution and digital energy solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Market Growth
  • Drive profitable growth of the Electrical Distribution and Digital Power portfolio within the assigned territory.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across strategic customer segments.
  • Build and execute account development plans for key customers and channel partners.
  • Influence project specifications and position Schneider Electric solutions at an early stage of the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve business objectives.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
  • Establish strong relationships with consultants, EPCs, OEMs, panel builders, contractors, end users, and key decision-makers.
  • Engage customers to understand business challenges and position Schneider Electric's value proposition.
  • Lead customer discussions on energy efficiency, power reliability, sustainability, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Drive customer retention and expand Schneider Electric's installed base footprint.
Opportunity Identification & Solution Positioning
  • Work closely with Sales, Offer Management, Marketing, and Services teams to develop winning strategies.
  • Promote Schneider Electric's Electrical Distribution, Digital Power, and Energy Management solutions.
  • Support customers in evaluating technical and commercial benefits of Schneider Electric offerings.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop customer-centric solutions and proposals.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Initiatives
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer investment plans.
  • Identify emerging opportunities in digitalization, energy management, and sustainability.
  • Provide market feedback to support business strategy and portfolio development.
  • Drive promotional activities, seminars, customer events, and partner engagement programs.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong business development, solution selling, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to engage with CXOs, consultants, EPCs, and technical stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of Electrical Distribution Systems, Digital Power, and Energy Management solutions.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities and drive revenue.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.


    Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
    • 8+ years of experience in Business Development, Technical Sales, Account Management, or Solution Selling within:
      • Electrical Distribution
      • Power Management
      • Energy Management Solutions
      • Digital Power Solutions
      • Industrial or Building Infrastructure Markets
