Travel %: up to 10% travel both internationally and domestically
What you will do The Medical Safety Associate Director, Vendor & Capacity Management is responsible for managing vendors including contracts and budgets who perform various functions required to comply with medical safety regulations and requirements globally for all Kenvue products. Vendor activities include but are not limited to medical safety case reporting, health authority reporting requirements, medical and compliance oversight, and supporting global Pharmacovigilance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the relationship with vendors and contractual strategies to drive sustainable on-time reporting compliance within budget obligations
- Accountable for developing the strategy and directing strategic global vendor portfolio execution aligned with global and regional business models. Strategies include maintaining high level of compliance and quality, business continuity, and cost management
- Leads cross-functional governance teams for strategic vendors to ensure strategic alignment of priorities, performance per service level agreements (SLAs) and compliance monitoring
- Assure compliance with the Master Services Agreements, and implement contracts in alignment with procurement processes
- Responsible for providing the required support and J& J representation for vendors during audits including FDA, MHRA, EMA inspections
- Participate in investigations relating to vendor or license partner significant deviations and support development and tracking of any subsequent CAPAs resulting from the investigations
- Demonstration of strong financial acumen and responsible for vendor spend, project budgets and accounts payable tracking and monitoring
- Responsible for managing medical safety group budget including compliance with all company financial goals and objectives
- Exhibit strong analytical skills and leadership skills to provide solid business and product-focused conclusions and recommendations
- Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with internal and external business partners including executive management to meet tactical and strategic business needs
What we are looking for Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelors degree
- Minimum of 9 years of business-related experience in a regulated environment
- Experience in one or more area(s) required: Medical Safety, Procurement, Supply Chain Source or Deliver functions, and Project Management
- Minimum 3 years experience interfacing with external vendors or suppliers
- Demonstrated experience working in matrix environment and leading cross-functional teams
- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written form
- Strong negotiation and networking skills
- Demonstrated problem solving ability
- Fluency in English
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of advanced purchasing systems such as Ariba, SAP, eMarketPlace (eMP), Contracting and RFQ tools, and contracts databases such as Malbek
- A focused degree in life-sciences, finance, or healthcare field
- Applied knowledge of applicable regulations governing Pharmacovigilance
- Knowledge of other regulatory classifications such as medical device/combination products
- Process Excellence skills or training
