Principal Scientist Finished Product Specification and Test Method Specialist

We are seeking a Finished Product Specification and Test Method Specialist to lead global and regional creation and maintenance of product specs and test methods. They must have experience designing and optimizing processes, prioritize projects, and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in Pharmacopeial and Industry requirements. They will work with business partners to process specification and test methods requests and have effective communication skills.

This position reports into Senior Director Analytical and is based at Greater Mumbai.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities:

• Subject matter expert in leading all aspects of global and regional Finished Products Specifications and Test Methods creation and maintenance per the current regulatory and industry standards, and internal requirements, to support both new and existing products.

• Experience in designing and optimizing processes to create, revise, maintain and manage Finished Product Specifications and Finished Product and Raw Material test methods.

• Have strategic and operational skills to prioritize and complete projects based on business and compliance needs.

• Responsible for providing technical assessments of Finished Products Specifications and Finished Product and Raw Material Test Methods used at Internal and External Manufacturing sites to ensure alignment to current compendia, industry standards, product registrations, and internal procedures.

• Subject matter expert in Pharmacopeial and Industry requirements for specifications and test methods. Ensures compliance to upcoming versions of monographs/industry requirements and identifying affected changes to the proper groups to ensure compliance, prior to its effective date.

• Collaborates with business partners (Internal/External Manufacturing Sites, Regulatory, Source Quality, Business Quality, Products team) to gather vital information to process the specification requests.

• Effective communication skills across different layers of the organization, as this role requires consistent, frequent collaborations with global sites and outsourced technical writers, through virtual meetings and email correspondences.

• Experience in providing guidance and mentoring to more junior staff members

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

• 6 years of experience with BS or equivalent

• 4 years of experience with MS

• 2 years of experience with PhD
