Position Summary

The Global Health Equity team advances equitable access to quality care through championing nurses and community health workers, enabling community-centered and culturally conscious care, and supporting access to our medicines and technologies.

The Senior Manager, Global Health Equity India, will cultivate existing and develop new partnerships to strengthen collaborative efforts across India, with responsibility to implementation and management of GHE programs.

This is an external facing role that requires positive relationship and partnership leadership skills, the ability to operationalize plans, and a proactive approach to bring partners to the table. This role will also contribute to programmatic design and evolution that will translate into local/regional implementation strategies. This individual is responsible to craft and deliver comprehensive plans, inclusive of, but not limited to:

  • Existing Partnership Oversight and Management: Leverage and nurture significant external partner relationships and resources for scaled implementation to increase health impact goals.
  • External Relationship Development: Evaluate and analyze current partnerships while recommending future collaborations that align with organizational strategy. This role involves scanning and assessing the external public health ecosystem to identify organizations’ needs for partnerships and matching these with the capabilities that Johnson & Johnson can bring as an extensive cross-sector and cross-functional entity.
  • Initiative Generation and Scaling: In collaboration with the global Program Delivery & Impact team, this person will work closely to support Strategy, Grants, Impact, and Delivery Leads in the collaborative development of new initiatives by bringing in additional partners and/or strengthening existing partnerships to increase/scale patient impact.
  • Program Design and Sustainability: Co-create initiatives with partners and team members, using internal J& J programs and business capabilities as a key differentiator for contributing and growing the scale of balanced social impact.
  • Support Internal and External Communications efforts: Liaise with internal functions including India Community Impact, regional Communications, Government Affairs, Finance, Compliance, and Legal to improve program success and leverage the full extent of J& J’s capabilities towards delivery success and impact. Represent J& J in internal and external partner meetings. Serve as external spokesperson as needed.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Insights: Continuously supervise external environment, trends, and insights to enhance collaboration, report back program successes, and strengthen Johnson & Johnson’s position as a leader in global health and corporate responsibility. Support partner and compliance by co-creating and delivering timely narrative reports illustrating impact and lessons learned.
  • Liaise closely with India Community Impact (ICI) team to facilitate alignment of ICI plans with GHE priorities, identify possible alignments and co-create implementation plans, exchange local intelligence and standard processes, towards creating maximum social impact.
