As a Freight Audit Experienced Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of freight audit and payment processes. This position supports day-to-day operations, drives issue resolution, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining and validating transportation rate master data and supporting system testing and enhancements related to freight audit platforms.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for process optimization. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., logistics, procurement, finance, IT) and external partners (e.g., carriers, third-party audit providers) to ensure seamless freight cost validation and payment processes.
Key Responsibilities
Freight Audit & Pay Support
Monitor and support the end-to-end freight audit process, ensuring timely and accurate invoice validation and payment.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between carrier invoices and contracted rates or shipment data.
Act as a liaison between carriers, third-party audit providers, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure compliance with audit standards.
Master Data Management
Maintain and update transportation rate master data in relevant systems.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across platforms to support automated audit processes.
Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to onboard new rates and contracts.
System Validation & Testing
Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation of freight audit systems and related tools.
Support system enhancements by documenting requirements, testing scenarios, and validating outcomes.
Identify and escalate system issues or improvement opportunities to relevant IT or process teams.
Process Improvement & Reporting
Analyze freight spend and audit performance data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
Support the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Prepare regular reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in freight audit, logistics operations, planning or transportation finance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process-oriented mindset.
Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP platforms (e.g., SAP), and freight audit tools is a plus.
Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; experience with Power BI or similar is an advantage.
Superb communication and collaboration skills in a multi-functional, global environment.
Diligent with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
