We're looking for an Junior Electrical Design Engineer at our Rojo Gómez Plant in Mexico City.

What will you do?

Take the Lead with These Responsibilities:
  • Review and validate the design and application of medium-voltage distribution boards (panelboards) to ensure alignment with customer requirements and technical standards.
  • Execute the mechanical and electrical engineering of orders for production and testing.
  • Collaborate with the local manufacturing plant and the U.S.-based Smyrna plant to resolve production-related technical issues.
  • Provide technical support to sales engineers and contribute to product demonstrations and customer training.
  • Troubleshoot and support the startup of new systems at customer sites.
  • Stay current with industry standards, power systems regulations, and engineering best practices.
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and unifilar diagrams.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills in English (technical conversations with native speakers).
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional, multicultural environment.

Who will you report to?

You will report to the Project Engineering Supervisor

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and the U.S.-based engineering team in Smyrna. This is an individual contributor role with high visibility and collaboration across departments.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, or equivalente experience in the electrical field.
  • Experience (or strong academic background) in electrical. Metal-mechanical component design-panelboards experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Catia, Creo.
  • Familiarity with CXP, IETAP, and statistical process control is a plus.
  • Recent graduates are welcome to apply-especially those with a strong foundation in electrical engineering and a desire to grow in medium-voltage systems.
