Job Description:

Supplemental Health Care is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician for a contract assignment at a partnering Hospital in Portland, Maine. As an Endoscopy Tech, you'll play a critical role in supporting gastroenterologists and nurses during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality care.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred
  • Completion of an Endoscopy Technician or Sterile Processing program preferred
  • BLS certification (required)
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Endoscopy Tech experience in a hospital or outpatient setting
  • Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment


Endoscopy Technician Contract Details:

  • $1, 840 - $2, 018 per week* estimated weekly
  • 23 week contract, with possibility to extend
  • 40 per week
  • Setting - Hospital


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare procedure rooms and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and functioning
  • Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies and upper endoscopies
  • Handle specimens and maintain accurate labeling/documentation
  • Operate, clean, and maintain endoscopy instruments and equipment
  • Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout procedures
  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain compliance with hospital standards
