Ocean Point Kitchen

We seek an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join the Bluebird Ocean Point Inn's Ocean Point Kitchen team. In this role, you will support the Executive Chef in all culinary operations, utilizing your talent and expertise to create delicious, memorable dishes that reflect the inn's commitment to quality. You will have a passion for creating high-end, culinary-forward cuisine and be motivated to take the initiative to come up with creative ideas for menu items and plating presentations. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from an experienced team in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate staff shifts while ensuring adequate coverage.
• Monitor food preparation processes to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Assist in creating menus, estimating food needs, and ordering ingredients per specifications.
• Monitor the quality of all food items prepared in the kitchen.
• Train kitchen staff on techniques and processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a professional food service setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and regulation standards.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimum supervision.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• US work authorization.

Compensation

$1, 200 - $1, 400 weekly
