ABOUT THE MOBILE ENGINEER IN TEST ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Knot Worldwide is looking for a highly motivated Mobile Engineer in Test to join the Quality Assurance team that will have hands-on responsibilities for manual iOS mobile testing and mobile automation testing. This is a very collaborative role tasked with ensuring the highest quality vendor products for our users, while pairing with product, design, and engineering counterparts on a global Agile team. This role will focus on ensuring a best in class user experience on the WeddingPro brand iOS application.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manually test new iOS features and bug fixes before incorporating them into automated test suites.
  • Help ensure features are high-quality by building mobile test strategies, writing and executing test plans and test cases, and communicating with the team about issues, risk, and product quality.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to improve the QA process by participating in all agile ceremonies with the team.
  • Partner with other automation engineers to promote best practices surrounding mobile testing, continuous integration, code standards, etc.
  • Leverage skills and experience to develop automated tests to ensure product quality.

SUCCESSFUL MOBILE ENGINEERS IN TEST HAVE:

  • Expert knowledge of mobile software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
  • 2-4 years of experience testing native and hybrid mobile applications on multiple devices and operating systems on physical devices.
  • Experience using mobile testing integration platforms such as Xcode, Browserstack, Testflight, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience with mobile test frameworks like Appium.
  • Experience collaborating teams and projects in an Agile, TDD environment.
  • Experience working with Engineers on writing/ reviewing the unit tests.
