General Description:

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Lead is responsible for the personal and professional development of the Payroll Specialists within their Operating Company. The Payroll Lead's responsibilities include: ensuring accurate payroll using their knowledge of payroll tax, tax laws, benefit, and Wage and Hour laws.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and train Payroll Specialists
  • Audit weekly and monthly reports for compliance with payroll policies and procedures
  • Produce paychecks accurately and in a timely manner
  • Monitor and audit the off cycle payroll process
  • Resolve discrepancies on employee wages and taxes
  • Set and track goals for the Payroll Specialists
  • Facilitate the Payroll training class for new Customer Service Associates

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • 3+ years of payroll experience
  • Experience leading a team of payroll professionals
  • Strong customer service and leadership skills

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving capabilities
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptable and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Computer Skills: PeopleSoft, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
