Role Description

TEKsystems is currently recruiting an External Communications Marketing Strategist responsible for creating original, compelling content to raise awareness of our business, purpose and value.

You’ll be responsible for writing and editing content for a variety of mediums, including articles, case studies, event materials, advertisements and web copy. The ideal candidate is proficient in interviewing subject matter experts, interpreting complex information, researching various sources, crafting compelling narratives, copywriting and storytelling. The individual is capable of working autonomously and managing relationships to ensure shared interests and outcomes and has the ability to collaborate with the Marketing Department to advance the goals of an organization. This role also requires strong project management skills to coordinate with stakeholders and ensure projects are completed on time.

Essential Functions:

· Write original content and edit existing content that is readable and compelling and implement SEO best practices.

· Recommend and develop content ideas in collaboration with team members and subject matter experts.

· Conduct research on various topics and facilitate interviews with relevant stakeholders.

· Manage multiple projects adhering to production schedules and strict timelines.

· Cooperate with creative and digital teams for production and publication.

· Analyze performance indicators and analytics to determine the effectiveness of content.

· Ensure final content adheres to brand and style standards.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Abilities/Skills:

· 2-4 years of experience in marketing communications/content writing

· Strong oral and written communication skills; experience in copywriting and editing

· Skilled at cross-channel collaboration (comms, web, social media, graphic design, etc.)

· Ability to be detail-oriented, highly organized; Can work independently and as part of a team

· A creative yet practical mind; ability to turn an idea/concept into practical application

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or relevant field

Position is hybrid: 3 days in the Hanover office and 2 days WFH

Compensation: $58, 700 - $88, 100 + $5, 500 bonus potential
