Role Summary
The Senior PAM Analyst serves as the primary analytical and strategic partner to the Portfolio Managers (PMs) in the Private Asset Management Group (PAM). This role is responsible for leading complex portfolio analysis, supporting PAM accounts, including modeling, client onboarding, RFPs, and ensuring the highest standards of investment messaging and client service. The Senior PAM Analyst acts as a subject matter expert on PAM accounts, collaborating across the PAM team and investment organization to deliver accurate, timely support and to provide outstanding service to gather and retain assets. This person leverages the time of the portfolio manager while working to ensure the accuracy, and integrity of strategy content and investment messaging with clients.

Responsibilities

Investment Management:

  • Establish and maintain understanding of Portfolio Managers’ investment process.
  • Measure strategy performance and work with Portfolio Managers to ensure seamless implementation of investment and trading strategies.
  • Perform portfolio modeling at the direction of PAM PMs, including investing/raising cash, harvesting unrealized tax losses (when/if appropriate), and maintaining proper portfolio construction.
  • Develop bespoke analyses to anticipate client needs and respond to inquiries.
  • Maintain deep subject matter expertise on equity markets and portfolio manager perspectives to inform both existing and new client interactions.
  • Engage in advanced project work to further the team’s research and development efforts.

Analytical Support:

  • Serve as the lead analytical partner to the PAM Portfolio Manager, supporting the design, monitoring, and adjustment of accounts in line with client requirements.
  • Conduct advanced analysis on strategies, incorporating market conditions, asset class characteristics, portfolio construction, and risk management to support the PAM Portfolio Managers.
  • Facilitate responses to client requests and periodic reviews of investment performance to enable discussions with clients.
  • Support the PAM Portfolio Managers in representing the PAM function in prospect and client meetings, as well as internal forums, articulating the value and capabilities of the team.

Franchise Support:

  • Respond to inbound inquiries regarding PAM investment services and new business referrals from internal and external sources.
  • Prepare responses to RFPs and maintain database of current and past prospects, as well as related reports.
  • Support the favorable reputation of the PAM business by assisting PMs in maintaining service levels of existing relationships (account holders and third parties) and marketing the service to existing relationships and prospective clients.
  • Educate and train teams across the organization on PAM and related investment processes.
  • Support the full sales cycle, including RFPs, sales meeting preparation, and client retention efforts.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required AND
  • 4-6+ years of relevant investment experience, with a focus on equities or multi-asset strategies.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree or progress towards (CFA, MBA, or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to partner with senior investment professionals and influence organizational outcomes.
  • Outstanding analytical and communication skills
  • Strong project leadership skills and the ability to drive initiatives to completion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

$110, 000.00-$165, 000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$110, 000.00-$165, 000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$110, 000.00-$165, 000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
