Job Posting Description

The Plastipak Shipping Clerk is responsible for all phases of operation of the shipping and receiving office including loading and unloading trucks via forklift.

You Will

  • Adhere to all procedures within Safety, Corporate/Site Quality System, Operation Procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices

  • Coordinate the loading of and ensures proper documentation for all outbound and inbound shipments and shuttles

  • Housekeeping of the office and warehouse areas

  • Operate forklift to load and unload trailers

  • Use RF scanning device to scan goods and properly maintain inventory

  • Provides instruction to shuttle driver and manages pool of trailers

  • Monitors availability of product for shipments. Works with manufacturing warehouse to coordinate loads to outside warehouses

  • Responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action

  • Performs all other duties as assigned

You Have

  • Self-motivated

  • Able to work overtime, as needed

  • Minimum of one year of forklift experience is required.

  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly.

  • Regularly stand or sit for long periods of time, up to 12 hours at a time.

  • Bend, lift and walk around facility as needed.
