PARTNERS IN ABORTION CARE LLC is hiring a Full-Time Scheduler in College Park, MD. This is a full-time position.
About Us: Partners in Abortion Care is an all-trimester abortion clinic located in College Park, Maryland. We seek to create a work environment where both our staff and the people we serve thrive. Purpose: Partners in Abortion Care is seeking a full-time scheduling associate that understands the complicated intersections of a patients life and experiences. The ideal candidate for this position is experienced, detail-oriented, and compassionate. As the first point of contact with our patients, scheduling associates are invaluable members of our rapidly growing and fast-paced organization. The anticipated schedule of this position is Monday to Friday (approximately 40 hrs). This position is a hybrid position. This position is part of the SEIU 1199 bargaining unit. The selected candidate will be subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the collective bargaining agreement between Partners in Abortion Care LLC and SEIU 1199. Duties/Responsibilities: Scheduling all-trimester abortion patients Reviewing and answering questions about all abortion procedures performed at this site Identifying patient needs in order to refer patients to additional resources as needed Completing basic practical and medical intake forms for patients Working directly with clinical staff members to appropriately schedule patients Working directly with the Manager of Patient Advocacy & Coordination to build a robust and innovative scheduling and patient coordination tool Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Must be affirming, compassionate, & calm when encountering stressful situations Previous scheduling and customer support experience Second language proficiency, preferred Previous health care support experience, preferred Previous experience at the intersection of gender equity and healthcare, preferred Experience with trauma-informed care, preferred Applicants that use LLMs such as ChatGPT to complete their application will not be considered.
