We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team. Your role will involve ensuring databases are properly managed, maintained, and optimized to meet business needs.

Maximus TCS (Technology and Consulting Services) Internal Job Profile Code: TCS082, T4, Band 7

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Database Management Systems (DBMS) such as SQL-based systems and NoSQL databases.

• Understanding of database architecture, schemas, and normalization.

• Familiarity with database specific programming languages (PL/SQL for Oracle, T-SQL for SQL Server).

• Ability to design, implement, and maintain database structures (e.g., tables, indexes, triggers, stored procedures).

• Experience in database backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, and execution.

• Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity.

• Knowledge of optimizing database performance by tuning queries, indexing, and managing database configurations.

• Experience using performance monitoring tools.

• Administer and maintain multiple Server database environments, including installation, configuration, and patch management.

• Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Minimum Requirements:

• Due to federal requirements, only US Citizens can be considered. Candidates with dual citizenship cannot be considered

• Active Secret clearance is required.

• This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.

• Telework: Candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be available to work onsite at the customer's discretion. This includes being on-site during the transition period. Must be based around Annapolis Junction, MD.

• This position requires a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• 12+ years of experience in this or related field

Minimum Requirements

TCS082, T4, Band 7

• Certified in Microsoft MTA, MCSA or MCSE or equivalent

• Certifications in Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Azure Database Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Database, IBM Certified Database Administrator, MongoDB Certified DBA Associate

• Team player, fast learner with ability to work proactively and independently to support mission critical operations supporting geographically diverse locations.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
