Job Description
MARYLAND AUTOMOBILE INS FUND is hiring a Communications, Intern in Baltimore, MD. This is a full-time position.
Summary: The Communications and Corporate Relations Intern supports the planning and execution of the organizations communication strategy. Essential Functions: Support in the execution of communication strategies for key audiences; tactics to include: o Development of blog posts and advertorial content o Participation in community outreach events o Development of content for earned media o Content development for consumer and internal websites o Assisting in the coordination and executive of Community Outreach events o Social media strategy planning, content development, and posting o Participating in reporting meetings with internal partners and digital advertising agency o Compiling media campaign and social media analytics for monthly reporting Competencies: Possess the ability to write with clarity, confidence, and in a professional tone. Graphic design or video editing skills a plus but not required. Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team Excellent attention to detail Self-motivated and task-oriented Excellent grammar, typing and computer skills Education & Experience: Currently pursuing an associates or bachelors degree in Communications, Marketing, or another related field. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Working Conditions: General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable.
