Description:
Hispasat, as part of the SpaceRISE consortium, is responsible for the technical implementation and ensuring the success of the IRIS² project, leveraging its extensive experience in satellite communications. This collaboration is essential to provide secure and reliable high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its member states.
To be part of this project, we are looking for Ground Station Senior Engineer a whose responsibilities will be as follows:
Responsibilities:
- Lead the analysis, design, and specification of Project TTC Ground Stations and Communication Gateways, Ground Monitoring & Control Systems.
- Define implementation and test plans for Ground Station Subsystem (TTC and Communication Gateways) Perform transmission analysis, in particular link/level budget calculations, block/design drawing, and other detailed/complex studies.
- Generation of RFP documents as well as the preparation and execution of factory and site acceptance tests.
- Technical follow-up of subcontractors activities related to design, requirements compliance, development and validation of the subsys-tems.
- Support to higher level integration of the subcontractor subsystems in the system
- During operational phase, being technical point of contact for any anomalies that might occur and support the technical resolution of the issues.
Minimum requirements - Master’s Degree in Tele-communications Engineer-ing, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of engineering expe-rience in satellite ground systems Hands-on experience in RF measurement techniques, test, and verification of ground sta-tions, and expertise in auxiliary systems like Network (IP, switch-ing, routing), Monitoring and Control systems, power, HVAC, and civil engineering
- Knowledge of satellite communications engineering including RF link budgets, RF and antenna de-signs Radiofrequency, modulation/de-modulation knowledge and skills
- Proven experience with tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, RF and link budget analysis tools Experienced in managing tech-nology projects.
- Native to an EU member state and willing to undergo an EU secret clear-ance process.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, any other European lan-guage is considered as an asset
