POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join a small team in charge of upholding the cleanliness and maintenance of apartment buildings. You will be heavily involved in the general maintenance of apartment buildings. In this role, you will need to be professional, and able to work independently and responsibly whileobservingall health and safety guidelines. Your responsibilities may include painting, cleaning, basic plumbing, and repairs. You should have experienceutilizinga multitude of tools and an understanding of basic maintenance issues.Previousexperience as a technician or carpenter and knowledge of HVAC would be an advantage. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breakerpanelsetc.) Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replacewindowsetc.) Undertakeactivities of pest control such as spraying insecticide Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g.landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentryetc.) Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards Other assigned duties MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Adherence to the company's mission and values in all aspects of the job. Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime High school diploma or equivalent; Successful candidates willbe requiredto undergo a comprehensive background check as a condition of employment Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance. Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces. Prolongedperiodssitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able tolift upto 75 pounds at a time.
