COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES INC. is hiring a Community Support Associate in Gaithersburg, MD. This is a full-time position.

Community Support Services, Inc. (CSS) is a non-profit organization based in Gaithersburg, MD. CSS is committed to providing inclusive and innovative community-based services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in their pursuit of individually chosen life goals to live, work, learn, interact with others, and recreate in their community. We are urgently seeking a part-time Camp Staff (Community Support Associate) to work with children in our camp program. Schedule: - MondayFriday: 2: 30 PM6: 00 PM - Saturday: 10: 00 AM4: 00 PM QUALIFICATIONS A high school diploma or higher and successful completion of all mandated DDA training as required in the DD waiver and required CSS training are necessary for this position. SCOPE OF WORK The Community Support Associate is responsible to the individuals supported by CSS; the associate will provide person-centered, individualized support in accordance with the choices and preferences of each person served. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE Implementing the services outlined in the service funding plan, the individual plan, the person-centered plan, the treatment plan, or other individualized plans of support services designed for an individual. Supporting participants to access community resources, maintain family relationships, and develop friendships. Developing and implementing teaching programs to assist each individual to accomplish his/her goals. Assisting in the design of a daily activity schedule for each individual. Implementing a daily schedule for each individual. Maintaining a budget of activity funds and accounting for all receipts. Completing documentation accurately and thoroughly. Maintaining written notes on activities implemented with each individual and informing the supervisor of activities and significant events regularly. Completing data as required in the behavior intervention plan. Reporting incidents of injury, significant behavioral issues, or unusual events immediately to a supervisor. Completing monthly and quarterly progress reviews as appropriate. Maintaining communication with family members and other team members. Establishing a warm and supportive relationship with family members or other team members of each individual. Providing or arranging transportation to activities for each individual as needed. Implementing IP and service plan goals and objectives, including behavioral management programs as written for each individual, and maintaining documentation of progress. Assisting individuals as needed with independent living skills, including personal hygiene activities and household management skills, consistent with the persons routine and the individual's IEP. Performing any other duties as assigned. Adhering to CSS Policies and Procedures, federal, state, and local regulations, and applicable standards.
