Job Description
Baltimore Aircoil Company is hiring a Heat Transfer Systems CO-OP in Jessup, MD. This is a full-time position.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
QUALIFICATIONS:
BAC Hiring Compensation Range $22 - $28 per hour.
BAC provides additional earnings in the form of overtime as applicable under law.
- Work with the Heat Transfer Systems team to develop and validate new heat rejection and heat transfer technologies, and/or related technologies
- Design and assemble small and/or medium scale test modules
- Design and run small and/or medium scale performance and reliability testing equipment and procedures
- Support development of numerical performance modeling tools based on the available data sets
- Identify and qualify alternative design and materials of construction options
- Support technology scale-up activities (e.g. product concept development, cost modeling...)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Majoring in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or Materials preferred)
- Seniors or MS students preferred
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD required; experience with Autodesk Inventor preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and fluid dynamics
- Working knowledge of data acquisition equipment setup an operation
- Proficient in Excel; advanced knowledge of Excel VBA, Matlab, or similar programming language preferred
