Job Summary:

The AP Associate is responsible for the timely auditing and/or payment of invoices and pcard transactions that come through the Corporate Accounts Payable Department. This individual will reinforce the policies, procedures and practices detailed out in the office card policy. The ability to communicate clearly, deliver a high level of customer service, think with the efficiency and the future in mind are key attributes for this role.


Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

•Reviews the purchasing card transactions and ensures proper coding and approval
•Acts as the field offices first point of contact for purchasing card accounts and the department’s and branch office’s point of contact for all purchasing card inquiries and issues
•Performs daily audit of all pcard transactions for proper GL coding, approval and policy adherence. Communicates misuse of card immediately to Supervisor, the cardholder, and the cardholder’s supervisor
•Directly accountable for meeting transaction review deadlines to achieve accurate and timely financial reporting
•Other AP related duties including but not limited to maintaining required process documentation, entry of payables in the shared services environment
•Scans invoices and voucher detail for documentation purposes
•Researches and resolves discrepancies with invoices and/or coding


Qualifications

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

•Accounts Payable and/or processing experience required preferably in a high-volume role

•Strong knowledge of Microsoft and PeopleSoft skills preferred

•Concur experience a plus

Skills/Abilities:

•Must be detail oriented, organized, analytical and able to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently

•Excellent customer service skills

•Qualified candidate will be flexible team player who enjoys working either independently and/or with other team members

•A self-starter, this position requires minimal and/or no supervision and relies heavily on the individual to be able to manage several tasks concurrently: while setting precedent on time management and applicable deadlines

In-Office Requirement:

• Required in-office presence 5 days per week

Salary Range:

• $40, 000 - $46, 000 The position is bonus eligible
