Your Job Koch Fertilizer Canada, ULC is seeking a Turnaround Project Manager to join our team in Brandon, Manitoba! In your role as Turnaround Project Manager, you will lead the planning and execution of plant turnarounds-critical projects that ensure our facility operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed plans, schedules, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement in these processes. Your ability to anticipate challenges, prioritize safety, and deliver results will directly impact our plant's performance and long-term value creation. What You Will Do- Develop strong relationships with the site, and other capability owners while setting clear expectations with all team members and support them in achieving their deliverables.
- Accountable to align the site for the readiness of safe, timely, and competitive delivery of Turnarounds at the Brandon site.
- Responsibility for establishing the Turnaround charter's vision and ensuring efficient preparation and execution of Turnarounds.
- Develop and maintain budgets with the project controls team and prepare expenditure requests that support the vision for the event.
- Ensure the site is leveraging the best technology, systems/solutions, and work processes that are consistent with KAES processes to optimally execute the event.
- Drive the utilization of established tools and metrics that allow the organization to identify and mitigate event risks proactively.
- Partner with the capability owners and key stakeholders to meet the milestones for each TA phase; this includes collaborating in and facilitating the work scope collection process, planning and scheduling, operations plans, event forecasting, etc.
- Lead team through contractor selection and work with vendors to ensure they understand desired service level and how they are going to be measured.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)- Experience in leading projects in industrial environments such as manufacturing, construction, large reliability initiatives, or maintenance shutdowns.
- Experience working with planning and scheduling tools.
- Experience using quantitative analysis to support strategic decisions
Physical Requirements: - Capability to work in a multi-level, 24 hour, industrial environment that will be affected by process and weather that may require using appropriate PPE.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, supporting other sites in the readiness or execution of turnarounds, as needed.
What Will Put You Ahead- Proven Project Management experience leading capital projects, major turnarounds, or large maintenance outages.
- Experience working in a team-based environment that creates alignment with standardized processes and shared responsibility for outcomes.
- Professional designation related to the role (PMP, P.ENG, EIT, MMP, C.E.T.).
- Previous experience in leadership of multidisciplinary teams
