The Merchant is hiring a Guest Service Associate in Salem, MA. This is a full-time position.
We are seeking a warm, polished, and genuinely hospitality-driven Front Desk Associate to join our team at one of Salem's most distinctive luxury boutique hotels. Set within a beautiful historic property, our hotel offers guests an intimate, elevated experience where thoughtful service and meaningful connections are at the heart of every stay.

Key Responsibilities:
Pay: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with professionalism and genuine hospitality
- Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately
- Handle reservations, room assignments, and guest requests
- Prepare breakfast and treats for our guests
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations about Salem attractions, dining, and events
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and resolve concerns with grace
- Maintain accurate records and handle payments securely
- Collaborate with housekeeping and management to ensure seamless operations
- Previous front desk, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent typing skills with the ability to compose professional emails and guest correspondence clearly and efficiently
- High attention to detail in written communication and reservation accuracy
- Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure
- Proficiency with computers and reservation systems (experience with hotel PMS a plus)
- Flexible schedule with required weekend and holiday availability
- Professional presentation and positive attitude
Pay: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour
