Social Media Coordinator

Part-Time | Hourly | Approximately 6-8 Hours per Week

We are a brand new boutique hotel where thoughtful hospitality, beautiful design, and memorable experiences come together. From our guest rooms and amenities to seasonal offerings and local partnerships, every detail has a story worth sharing.

We are looking for a creative and organized Social Media Coordinator to help bring those stories to life through engaging, polished, and authentic content.

Position Summary

The Social Media Coordinator will manage the hotel's day-to-day social media content on a part-time, hourly basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys photography, short-form video, storytelling, hospitality, travel, and creating content that inspires guests to visit.

Working approximately 6-8 hours per week, the Social Media Coordinator will create and publish two high-quality social media posts each week while developing an organized library of photographs, videos, and reusable content for future marketing needs.

The coordinator will work with hotel leadership to highlight the property's accommodations, amenities, seasonal experiences, special events, team members, local attractions, and unique personality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, schedule, and publish two polished social media posts each week.
  • Develop a thoughtful mix of photography, carousel posts, Reels, and short-form video content.
  • Visit the hotel regularly to capture fresh and authentic photo and video content.
  • Capture approximately 15-30 usable photos, videos, or B-roll clips during each scheduled content visit.
  • Build and maintain an organized digital content library for future social media and marketing use.
  • Organize content by category, season, location, amenity, and campaign whenever appropriate.
  • Write engaging captions that reflect the hotel's warm, elevated, and welcoming brand voice.
  • Highlight guest rooms, amenities, packages, events, local experiences, team members, and behind-the-scenes moments.
  • Identify seasonal content opportunities and relevant local events.
  • Stay current on social media trends, platform features, audio trends, and hospitality marketing best practices.
  • Coordinate with hotel leadership regarding upcoming promotions, packages, partnerships, events, and priority messaging.
  • Maintain a consistent visual style and brand voice across all published content.
  • Monitor basic social media engagement and provide simple recommendations based on post performance.
  • Attend occasional hotel events, property activations, or seasonal experiences to capture additional content.
Weekly Deliverables

  • Approximately 15-30 new usable photos, videos, or B-roll clips per content visit.
  • Timely organization and uploading of new content to the hotel's shared content library.
  • Coordination with hotel leadership regarding upcoming content priorities.
Content Library Expectations

The Social Media Coordinator will help create a growing, easy-to-use library of visual content that may be used for social media, promotions, email marketing, website updates, and other hotel marketing needs.

The content library should be organized into clear folders or categories, such as:

  • Reliable, responsive, and able to meet consistent weekly deadlines.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and adjusting content to reflect brand standards.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, marketing, photography, or content creation is preferred but not required.
Schedule
  • Approximately 6-8 hours per week.
  • Flexible schedule based on hotel activity and content needs.
  • Regular on-site visits are required, but the majority of the time, you are welcome to work remotely
