SUMMARY:

The Crew Member is responsible for individual conduct, good judgement and to uphold the highest standards of the Armstrong brand. This position will support the crew supervisor at the client or warehouse to ensure a clean and safe environment at all times. The position will focus on the details of loading and unloading trucks and crates while handling other duties as needed. The Crew Member is expected to follow all Unigroup and Armstrong procedures while performing assigned work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain clean and safe working conditions at all times
• Take direction from the job supervisor at the home or business.
• Handle all assigned tasks to completion and report any issues and concerns immediately
• All assigned tasks should be executed to Unigroup and Armstrong standards
• Ability to load household goods into warehouse vaults and other crates for shipping
• Ability to unload trucks and trailers at job sites and stack in warehouses’ while taking proper precautions
• Work with the clients and serve their needs
• Be able to operate technology and writing that is needed for each job

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to work a varied and flexible schedule as business needs require
• Prior use of handheld scanner and basic computer skills
• Ability to learn moving terms
• Must have legible handwriting
• Must be detailed oriented, a process follower and a good listener
• Ability to multitask, communicate and solve problems
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend simple instruction
• Must be able to interpret instructions that are in written, diagram and schedule form
• Ability to analyze and interpret a variety of information
• Ability to respond to common inquires and apply common sense
• Must understand written and oral communication
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with and without instruction
• Must be able to follow assigned duties according to specified procedures
• Ability to set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities
• Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction
• Must be able to take action when answers to a problem are not readily apparent

• Standing- job requires employee to remain on his or her feet in an upright position for continuous periods of time without being able to leave work area
• Climbing/ Reaching- job requires employee to climb and reach for job related duties
• Walking- job requires employee to walk considerable distance in the facility during the course of work day
• Lifting- job requires employee to lift inventory up to 75 lbs
• Carrying- job requires employee to regularly use hands and fingers to carry objects up to 75 lbs
• Stooping, Crouching and Squatting- job regularly requires employee to bend forward by bending at the waist or by bending the legs, spine and or knees
• Near Acuity- job requires clarity of vision at 20 feet or more
• Speaking- job requires employee to express ideas by using the spoken word
• Listening- job requires perception of speech or the nature of sounds in the air
• Memory Recall- job requires ability to recall past information

HOURLY WAGE:

$17 per hour
