Purpose: This role will be responsible for garnering support from ETF liquidity providers and Authorized Participants to provide market quality and liquidity in SPDR ETFs. This individual will be a point of contact for ETF traders regarding the pricing and trading of our product lineup and will lead projects with various internal teams and stakeholders to improve the structure and tradability of SPDR ETFs to best compete in the marketplace. Additionally, this individual will also take a leadership role with the data analysis and reporting needs of the Capital Markets team. Furthermore, this role will support our business development efforts with market makers, broker dealers, and exchanges in seeking broader support for our ETF franchise from a liquidity provision perspective, particularly with top tier firms providing Lead Market Making and Agency AP services to the marketplace. Lastly, this role will serve as the main, dedicated Capital Markets specialist, supporting the Select Sector Sales, Strategy & Research and Marketing Teams.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage relationships and communications with lead market makers, liquidity providers, and authorized participants regarding pricing and trading of SPDR ETFs
- Improve ETF market quality - leading to better execution quality for investors - by collaborating with ETF lead market makers, authorized participants, and internal stakeholders to drive enhancements to product structure and creation/redemption processes
- Develop and enhance SPDR's market quality monitoring technologies
- Take a leadership role in driving US CMG's key technology initiatives, working across all stakeholder groups and subject matter experts to effectively manage the process and outcome of each project
- Drive and lead the data analysis and reporting needs for the Capital Markets team, including buildout and maintenance of databases for trading volumes, partner data and metrics used by the team - responsible for providing this data, specifically curated for Select Sector ETFs, to the Select Sector Sales & Research Strategists teams in support of expanding reach, brand awareness, and driving organic growth
- Provide input for daily and weekly commentaries on market quality and liquidity trends
- Take leadership role in oversight of our Authorized Participant Oversight Program, incorporating oversight of Select Sectors ETFs into the program, and managing & coordinating the transition of existing AP Agreements for Select Sectors to SSGA Funds Distributor
- Deliver analytical insights and data to help support regulatory affairs & due diligence questionnaires
- Assist in projects and working groups, both internal and external, related to the development of innovative ETFs, the evolution of the ETF structure, and enhancements to the ETF creation/redemption mechanism
- Assist in our business development efforts with market makers, broker-dealers, and exchanges
- Develop, execute, and manage policies and procedures related to all aspects of a Transfer Agent for Select Sector ETFs
Ideal Experience: - 7-10 years of experience in capital markets with a strong ETF background, preferably experience across asset classes - equities, fixed income, and derivatives
- Enthusiasm for the ETF Industry, a positive attitude, and a drive to succeed
- Able to multi-task and work effectively at various levels of an organization, including managing and engaging with senior level executives
- Experience working on or leading strategic project teams
- Highly organized, acute attention to detail, strong critical thinking skills, and team first mentality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - ability to build relationships within our team, across our organization, and with our clients
- Resourceful, proactive, and able to prioritize and navigate in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Proficient in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
Salary Range: $120, 000 - $202, 500 Annual
