ThePrincipal Systems Engineerwillbe a part of the R& D organization andan important contributor to the realization of the next generation robotic platform that will change the future of healthcare. You will be a highly visible technical resource working onarchitectingcomplexroboticssystemfromrequirement establishment, test approach and tool selection, andtraceability matricesin close collaboration withSoftwareengineering, Mechanicalengineering, Electrical engineering, Controls, Supply Chain & Manufacturing, andother functions. The mainobjectiveistoensurecompleterequirementscoveragewith aharmonizedtest plan for alllevelsof testing.This role is suited foranexperienced, R& Dleadengineerwithastrongtrack recordofrequirements writing, test design, definition, andimplementation forcomplexroboticssystems. Theinitialphase is to support successful exit ofV& V phase, followed bydesign transfer, and productlaunch.You will havea greatopportunitytoleadsystem integration and test process, defineoptimalrequirement layers, specifyverification approach, supportdevelopment oftest tools, andsupportdevelopment oftestprotocolsthatpavethe path tosuccessfulsystem development and launch.

The base pay range for this position is:
$165, 490 - $227, 546
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadsthe design ofsystem integration and test approach from components, PCBAs, subassemblies, assemblies, and subsystem to system levelwithfocuson software and controls.
- Derives strategies to detectissues andfaults at theappropriatelevelsof assemblies
- Works closely with different cross functional teams to generate/refine theappropriate requirementsatoptimalintegration levels
- Derives strategiesforsystem diagnostics andtomonitorsystem performances matrices
- Authors/co-authors relevant documents such as integration and testarchitecture andplans, test protocols, test methods, test reports, analyses, and system documentation
- Supports a variety of multi-disciplinary technical and process improvement projects ofdifferent sizesand scopes
- Supports establishment of traceability matrices for all levels of requirements
- Communicates information clearly, effectively, andfrequently(oral and written) with stakeholders, project team
- Manages and deliver assigned projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams within agreed delivery timelines
- Might mentor lessexperiencedengineers
Qualifications:
- Minimum of12years'electromechanicalR& Dengineeringexperience, preferablyin the medical deviceindustryrequired. Some years of experience inotherheavily regulated industries will beconsidered.
- Master's degree inSoftware, Controls, Mechatronics, Electrical, Robotics, or aclosely relatedfieldisrequired.Exceptional undergraduatecandidateswill be considered.
- Outstanding documentation and communication skillsrequired
- Experience in managingcomplexengineering projectsrequired
- Must havepreviousexperience launching complex electromechanical systems
- Must have MATLAB/Simulinkproficiency. LabVIEWproficiencyis desired
- Must have strong technical and analytical abilities including DOE, FMEA, and statistical analysis
- Mustbe proficient in design control procedures
- Working knowledge of applicable medical device regulatory standards i.e.: FDA 21CFR 820, ISO 13485, IEC 60601, ISO 14971, etcis desired
- Able to execute multiple assigned projects and duties with minimal supervision
- Must be a self-starter with strong leadership skills and deep technical competencies
