Description:

Schneider Electric IT Corporation seeks a Senior Manager Firmware Engineering in Andover, MA.

Job Description: As an individual contributor, provide critical expertise to team of firmware engineers to develop real-time embedded firmware to control power electronics and communications for Uninterruptible Power Supplies. Define firmware architectures and roadmaps for firmware development. Assist in talent acquisition of new firmware engineers. Mentor new team members on legacy code base and sub system design and functionality. Review technical guidance on various projects. Implement Secured Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and cyber security process. Work with Chief Technology Officer and his team to implement critical solutions. Modify various old and new tools based upon project requirements.

Requirements: Position requires a Master's or Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Power Electronics, Engineering Management, or related field and progressive, post-Bachelor's experience (8 years with Master's or 10 years with Bachelor's) in real-time firmware development of power electronics-based products, including at least some experience in the following skills: Embedded C programming for control of power electronics; Managing large firmware development teams/projects; Expertise in real-time embedded operating systems (RTOSs) such as ThreadX, uCosII, FreeRTOS; Microcontrollers such as STM32 and microcontroller peripherals such as ADC, PWM, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and DMA; and Expertise of leading firmware team in Agile Scrum development environment with tools such as Jira, and Jama Connect (requirements management).
