Description:

Schneider Electric is looking for a Senior Global Product Manager. This global role will be responsible for driving business growth through the development and management of power products to support IT equipment and will focus on high growth areas like Edge Computing, Tethered Cloud, Hyper Converged Infrastructure, Digital Transformation, IoT and Artificial Intelligence in our Transactional and Edge business.

This person will work cross functionally within the organization, and with partners and customers to identify new product development opportunities, create business cases in support of new projects, work with Engineering through the development cycle and then lead the Marketing and Sales teams in launching the product to market upon completion.

The ideal candidate will have a technical background with some product development and commercial experience.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the performance of your portfolio including sales, profit, cost, market share, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Understand and capture customer requirements as well as primary and secondary research to define new product scope and specifications in alignment with market needs and company strategy to achieve business growth.
  • Identify market trends, disruptions and opportunities that can impact product roadmap and drive initiatives to capitalize on them.
  • Define compelling value proposition for an offer and develop sales tools to support it.
  • Provide strategic direction to the global sales teams through development and deployment of offer strategy plan/playbook.
  • Launch new product offers, manage launch performance and achieve offer program objectives.
  • Conduct regular competitive analyses and identify the needs for offer enhancement to keep the offer competitive and monitor price positioning.
  • Manage the product life cycle of the product lines from identification, introduction, through growth and maturity, to decline and discontinuation, and provide input on product simplification / discontinuation for product line.
  • Participate in customer seminars, meetings, workshops and events to promote the portfolio.
  • Field general questions, including competitive inquires and make decisions or recommendations to resolve.
  • Engage with Product Marketing to develop best-in-class Digital sales tools, making it easier for our customers to learn, choose and use our products.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and assist in demand steering, demand, and inventory management.
  • Provide regular updates to management on offer performance and initiatives.


Knowledge & skills
  • Knowledge of customer application needs and challenges in data center and Edge computing applications and power availability/protection products ideal.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in dynamic international environment and manage through influence.
  • Ability to handle multiple and conflicting priorities and effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and work with multiple stake holders to drive actions.
  • Comfortable and effective in making presentations to large groups and senior management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and results oriented.
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Being able to "think out of the box".
  • Systems thinking with outstanding collaborative skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong team player.
Qualification and Experience
  • A Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement in fields including business, computer science, engineering, science, finance, economics, statistics, business and related fields. MBA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience with a focus on business development, marketing, product management, or similar roles.
  • International work experience and flexibility to work with global teams in various time zones, the role requires some domestic and international travel.
  • Previous experience managing a global product portfolio is a plus.
