For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $101, 600 - $127, 000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. About the role: The Network Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the network lab equipment for the EcoStruxure™ Foxboro DCS and the EcoStruxure™ Foxboro Software Defined Automation (SDA) Networks in development. The Network Engineer works with a cross-functional team, including firmware, software, and hardware development and test teams, as well as customer support engineers, product owners and product managers. The Network Engineer supports testing of systems, system integrations, including generating and approving test cases and reports for the Foxboro control networks to ensure the performance, stability, and security of the systems. The Network Engineer provides design review support for internal systems as well as customer systems. As a member of the team, the Network Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues to maximize the benefits of our customers' network investments.
What will you do: Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

- Monitor communication functions and protocols related to the design and implementation of hardware, software, firmware and circuit facilities.
- Monitor network utilization, capacity and quality.
- Provide support for functional and system testing, including switch configurations, device integration and system impacts during failures.
- Manage physical control network connectivity in a 100% uptime environment.
- Analyze complex hardware and software configurations.
- Test, implement, install, and troubleshoot network infrastructure with multiple network vendor switches and routers, on current and legacy hardware.
- Detect, diagnose and resolve network problems using methods that minimally impact the testing environment.
- Troubleshoot Windows OS and network infrastructures, including working directly with the network vendors to resolve problems in network configuration and switch firmware.
- Maintain network security controls and compliance on all network hardware.
What will make you successful: Strong Working Knowledge of:
- TCP/IP protocols, IP addressing, subnets and routing
- Networking concepts
- Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols.
- RSTP, EAPS, and ERPS over a wide range of topologies.
Additional Skills
Experience with Extreme, Moxa, and Belden routers and switches.
Experience with EcoStruxure™ Foxboro DCS Industrial Process Control System
Good organizational and personal communication skills.
Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision despite rapidly changing priorities.
What qualifications will make you successful?- 5-10 years of experience in network design, troubleshooting, and testing.
- Experience with Industrial Process Control systems and related network infrastructure.
- Exhibits strong verbal communication skills and can articulate and enunciate clearly, simply, legibly and professionally.
- Can explain complex technical topics in simple terms to internal and external team members.
- Self-starter who can manage competing priorities and tasks while collaborating with multiple teams to deliver the most effective solutions for customers.
- Team-oriented with interactive listening skills.
- Motivated self-starter who can juggle multiple priorities concurrently.
- Ability to work in flexible timings and across different time-zones.
- Ability to travel up to 25% within US and beyond.
