For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $86, 400 - $108, 000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Commercial Technical Training Instructor - NAM role directly impacts two core aspects of the learning services business - driving profitable growth of learning services in the NAM territory and providing Industrial Automation product training to a variety of audiences, including internal employees, external customers, and third-party affiliates. Instrumental to this position is serving as Subject Matter Expert on EcoStruxure products to the courseware development team.

What will you do?

Commercialization (35%)
  • Identify and convert opportunities to sell learning products and solutions, working closely with Sales, Proposals, Service teams, Commercial Technical Training Lead - NAM in the territory.
  • Design the appropriate learning solution for customer business needs, engage confidently with customers during pursuit stage and provide impeccable customer service.
  • Build proposals, quotations, contracts, SOWs and provide engagement support, following the department processes.
  • Highlight any unmet needs, new product requirements/demands that can help improve the offer and sales.


Training Delivery (65%)
  • Deliver technical training classes through the use of virtual classroom technology or in-person.
  • Complete pre- and post-session tasks that support learners who attended virtual instruction-led courses.
  • Provide learner support during synchronous and self-paced learning activities.
  • Adapt to training schedules to train global learners across different world time zones.
  • Pilot courseware to evaluate the effectiveness and quality of materials.
Preparation and Learning
  • Learn the tools of the learning delivery function.
  • Prepare and maintain OCS suite of virtual machines and images.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvements in current best practices, tools, and applications across the learning and training industry, such as facilitated learning, communities of practice, and recorded demonstrations.
  • Maintain current, in-depth knowledge of the functions and features of the Schneider Electric EcoStruxure product portfolio.


Course Development Support
  • Identify on-the-job tasks and challenges related to the targeted audience and courseware focus to ensure engineering project readiness and customer satisfaction.
  • Review courseware for technical accuracy.
  • Identify available product, technical, and process materials create technical demos, lab exercises, and courseware assessments as needed, related to courseware development projects.

What qualifications will make you successful?:
  • Formal qualifications in Engineering and Adult Learning or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of sales or service experience in a client facing role. Solutioning and/or consulting experience is an advantage.
  • 4+ years of experience configuring, building or maintaining industrial automation systems with specialization in at least 1 offer area.
  • Exhibits strong verbal communication skills and can articulate and enunciate clearly, simply, legibly and professionally.
  • Can explain complex technical topics in an engaging and interactive way.
  • Can use a variety of communication tools, such as email, instant messaging, conference calls, and live- meeting software etc.
  • Self-starter who can manage competing priorities and tasks while collaborating with multiple teams for delivering the most effective solutions for customers.
  • Ability to tell-the-story about the offer, explain value proposition, and co-create solutions.
  • Ability to uncover and discuss opportunities, including ideas for new learning products and/or services.
  • Ability to strategically balance the learning product mix, revenue mix and short-term wins versus medium-term growth in the territory, while maximizing margins.
  • Team-oriented with interactive listening skills
  • Motivated self-starter who can juggle multiple priorities concurrently and engage support when needed
  • Ability to work in flexible timings and across different time-zones to ensure global delivery
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within US.
