Some know exactly what they want; others are visiting a dispensary for the very first time. As a Dispensary Guest Advisor (you may know the role as a budtender), you make either experience a good one by listening first, explaining options clearly, and handling every transaction by the book. Havent worked in cannabis before? Strong customer service skills matter more to us than industry experience. Your training is paid, and our team will get you comfortable with our product lineup, our register system, and our store procedures. WHAT EMBR OFFERS Competitive Base Pay $17.00 an hour, tips included Paid Onboarding Your training hours are on the clock starting with your first shift Staff Pricing A discount on the products we carry Career Growth Opportunities to step into leadership and other roles as you develop YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Welcome & Connect Greet each guest warmly and make every visit feel relaxed, respectful, and professional Needs-Based Recommendations Ask good questions, listen closely, and present product options that match what each guest is looking for Regulation-Ready Conversations Share product details accurately and within Massachusetts cannabis guidelines Identification Checks Confirm age and valid ID before every sale and complete each required transaction step Register Transactions Process sales and payments accurately through our point-of-sale system Product Knowledge Keep building your familiarity with our menu so you can answer questions with confidence Floor Upkeep Restock, face shelves, and keep displays and the sales floor clean and inviting Team Support Help with merchandising and daily operational tasks, work closely with coworkers and managers, and follow company policies and state and local laws WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR Age 21 or older Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission agent registration Availability for five shifts a week, including early, late, weekend, and holiday hours Dependable attendance and punctuality for every scheduled shift A warm, approachable communication style and a real interest in helping people Quick to learn new products, systems, and procedures Comfortable keeping pace in a busy retail environment Nice to have retail, hospitality, customer service, or cannabis experience SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY Expect five shifts per week. Our store stays busy seven days a week, so were looking for people whose availability covers early openings, late closings, weekends, and holidays.
