Kleinfelder offers co-op positions in many fields and is committed to helping co-op students succeed. Our mentoring and training programs provide the opportunity to work with a diverse group of experienced and technical professionals, who will help guide your career development, challenge you technically, and provide you with the knowledge and confidence to succeed on your own. You will have the ability to give back to your community and work on significant projects.

The co-op position will last 6 months and start in the fall of 2026. The ideal Water Resources Engineering co-op will contribute to our team-oriented environment by providing engineering planning, design, and construction administration services on a variety of municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing Water and Sewer Plans and Details
• Performing Hydraulic Calculations and Modeling
• Preparing Contract Drawings and Specifications
• Permitting and Regulatory Compliance
• Writing Technical Reports
• Creating Figures and Maps
• Collecting Data and Performing Field Investigations
• Supporting Bidding and Construction Administration Services
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required, and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, and ArcGIS is a plus.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Massachusetts Wage Transparency Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $21.09 - $35.22
