This position supports industrial manufacturing processes by implementing all aspects of process improvement, facility layout and upgrades, equipment setup, testing, documentation, problem correction, and related tooling. Uses technical skills to help develop engineering activities related to industrial manufacturing.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Performs advanced duties primarily consisting of responsibilities to support industrial engineers and production associates in a quick and efficient manner.
  • Builds products and subassemblies for testing, prototyping, and product or process improvements.
  • Performs periodic preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment.
  • Works independently on complex projects to frame and solve basic engineering problems.
  • Identifies problem requirements, breaks problems into manageable, discrete components, and solves problems of moderate scope utilizing existing known factors for resolution.
  • Creates and maintains engineering documentation such as document change orders, validations, equipment maintenance, manufacturing process instructions, and calibration/preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Completes basic process validations and process improvements, resolves problems, and makes recommendations for process improvements.
  • Confers with engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Assists in engineering complex tooling to help in the manufacture of the device and assists in engineering processes to increase efficiencies and yields in manufacturing.
  • The following must be included for all positions:
    • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
    • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
    • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
    • Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Requires 6-8 Years Work Experience
  • Knowledge, Skills and abilities in Computerized Systems, Manufacturing Processes, GMPs.
  • OSHA and other medial industry applicable regulations. Skills working with SOPs and compliance related documentation.
  • Leadership Imperatives: The incumbent should demonstrate solid competencies on the standards of performance of the J& J Leadership Imperatives (Living Our Credo, Lead, Shape, Connect and Deliver) to effectively contribute to the transformation of the scope of work.
    • Other Requirements:
  • Able to work extra hours, at night and irregular shifts.
  • Able to respond to emergency calls.
  • Able to travel.
  • Able to support other departments or projects according to business needs.
