Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking an Associate Region Director or Region Director to join our Abiomed team located in St. Louis, Missouri in the United States.

This is a field-based role available in the St Louis, MO. While specific cities are listed in the Locations section for reference, please note that they are examples only and do not limit your application.

Purpose: We are looking for a dynamic sales leader that can motivate and lead teams to produce exceptional results. In this position you will manage the sales and clinical teams for their assigned territory and nurture our culture of trust, honor, and integrity. You will also manage and partner with the Region Clinical Manager who is responsible for oversight and direction of the clinical consultant team members. You must showcase proven success developing & executing sales strategies that result in the achievement of sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the region’s sales activities that result in meeting annual growth and revenue objectives
  • Set sales targets and forecasts
  • Identify, hire, retain and develop talent through proactively managing performance.
  • Develop strategies for launching new accounts and greater penetration in existing accounts
  • Establish effective communications with executives and managers across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of sales
  • Lead difficult sales negotiations, especially with larger prospects
  • Collaborate with functional departments of the company, specifically but not limited to Operations, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Regulatory, and Clinical Affairs
  • Liaise with Marketing and Professional Education to further develop value added strategies, tools, programs and services

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required; MBA Preferred
  • 5+ years of high-performance experience in the MedTech space, with a high preference for cardiovascular space
  • Region Director: 7+ years of management experience of a field commercial team or a combination of 3+ years of successful leadership in the Abiomed Associate Region Director role.
  • Associate Region Director: 4+ years of management experience of a field commercial team or a combination of 3 years of successful leadership in the Abiomed Associate/Area Manager role.
  • Preferred background with diverse functional roles (i.e sales training, field enablement, etc)
  • Proven track record of success in managing a growing sales organization
  • Ability to gain cooperation of others and lead team members
  • Ability to negotiate and influence senior level leaders & KOLs
  • Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Ability to travel up to 60%
  • Conduct duties and responsibilities in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical device industry required
