Business Development Manager

Intertek is searching for a Business Development Manager to join our Chemicals & Pharmaceuticalsteam in our Whitehouse, NJ office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in analytical testing and services sales!

The Business Development Manager is responsible for Identifying and developing new business relationships with accounts in the Region. Maintaining and building relationships with current client base. Ensure that a high level of customer services is provided for all accounts. Work directly with the technical staff to vet and quote new business.

What you'll do:
  • Identify and develop new business relationships with accounts in the Region
  • Maintain and build relationships with current client base within the Region
  • Ensure that a high level of customer services is provided for all accounts
  • Develop proposals and quotations; review RFPs and RFQs; initiate CDAs and MSAs
  • Provide client presentations and prepare client-specific presentations to respond to client needs
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities, industry trends & government regulations
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge; participate in industry tradeshow and conferences

What it takes to be successful in this role:
  • BA/BS Chemistry, Biology or related scientific degree
  • 6-10 years of related industry experience
  • Prior experience in sales of analytical testing (HPLC, GC, GC/MS, LC/MS)
  • Knowledge of regulatory expectations. Specifically stability studies and extractable & leachable studies
