HVAC Technician II

The HVAC Technician II is responsible for operating, inspecting and maintaining all HVAC equipment and systems in the facility to maximize equipment life expectancy and minimize downtime, while maximizing cultivation yields. An ideal candidate will identify and diagnose equipment issues and keep detailed records of maintenance. Responsibilities and Duties Self-directed, anticipates instructions, and accepts and embraces shifts in prioritiesConduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment, identifying issues and reporting findings to the Facilities ManagerSubmit and complete work orders accurately and effectivelyMotivate and guide INSA requestors to submit work orders through task management system for improved workorder managementPerform preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and complete emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.Install, maintain and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.Maintain equipment to control space temperature, humidity, cleanliness, and distribution. Uses the psychrometric chart to determine the results of mixing air having various properties.Partner with the Manager to procure the best pricing for parts and equipment; retain required documents including equipment manuals, warranty information, and invoicesKeep logs and records of all maintenance functions.Ensure all tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored and in good working orderAccommodate a flexible schedule and respond to issues or problems rapidly.Maintain compliance with Company SOPs and state regulationsEnsure the work area is kept in clean and safe conditionMaintain a safe work environment by following applicable safety procedures, wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting injuries, near misses, and hazards to managementBehave in a manner that is positive, productive, cooperative, and encourages teamworkPerforms other duties as assigned ? Qualifications and Skills Must be at least 21 years of ageHigh school diploma or GED requiredHVAC Certification Preferred1-3 years of working experience in HVAC fieldUnderstanding electrical, HVAC, plumbing and carpentryStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to understand and follow directions as given and work with minimal supervision.Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.Adaptable, proactive, and willing to work weekends and extended hours as needed.Must have reliable transportation.Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations. Pay Range: $26.00 - $33.61 Insa is a multi-state employer, and this is the company-wide pay range. Offers will be provided in accordance with state-specific minimum wage guidelines.
