Swim Coaches to join our SHARKS Swim Team.
As a Swim Coach, you will play a key role in guiding and inspiring swimmers, fostering a love for the sport, and helping them reach their full potential. The SHARKS Swim Team is a competitive YMCA/USA team with locations in Beverly, Gloucester, and Marblehead along the scenic North Shore near Boston. We proudly serve up to 70 Masters Swimmers across three training sites. This position is for the
Beverly, MA YMCA. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct engaging and effective group practices tailored to different skill levels.
- Assess swim techniques, identify areas for improvement, and design individualized training plans.
- Educate swimmers on proper techniques and strategies for competitive swimming.
- Develop skill-level-appropriate workouts that align with team goals.
- Promote a positive and supportive team environment in accordance with safe sport regulations.
What We're Looking For: To excel in this role, you should have experience coaching competitive swimming and a solid understanding of stroke technique. Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with swimmers, staff, and the community are essential.

Qualifications- This position is for the Beverly YMCA
- Any training and coaching certifications will be covered by the YMCA.
- Compensation depends on experience.
- Schedule is Tuesday & Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings
Candidates should have: - 2 years of swim coaching experience or experience as a competitive swimmer
- Knowledge of stroke technique
- The ability to write workouts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a positive attitude
