Description:

Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Expeditor to follow up on and maintain open purchase orders for Air Energy Group, LLC. In this position, you will be expected to communicate with suppliers to obtain all relevant information and update our system accordingly. Your role will be critical in supporting the sales and service teams to provide exceptional service to our external customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain purchase order information after buyers place orders, including but not limited to:
    • Pricing updates
    • Shipment and arrival dates
    • Tracking information
  • Assist buyers in resolving concerns with shipment, shortages, and customer inquiries.
  • Review Open Purchase Order Report daily to identify orders requiring follow-up.
  • Work closely with the warehouse team on expected incoming shipments to streamline the receiving process.
  • Act as the liaison between suppliers and our internal sales and service teams.
  • Collaborate with other departments to review and prioritize the delivery of material components based on urgency.
  • Sustain strong supplier relationships to improve delivery, quality, and service of suppliers.
  • Perform related tasks and duties assigned by the manager.

Education and Experience:

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or GED Required.
    • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a similar field is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • At least 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, operations, or materials management position with an understanding of production and inventory control techniques and systems.
    • Experience using ERP systems and applications in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
    • Must have experience with Microsoft Office applications, specifically in Outlook and Excel.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong systems/process orientation with analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Excellent project management and follow-up skills.
